Earning the top spot in Money Magazine’s 2016 list of “The Best Place to Live in Georgia,” East Cobb is known for its beautiful neighborhoods, award-winning schools, abundant green space and convenient location. Residents of East Cobb have a Marietta city address, but the region is comprised of an unincorporated area of Cobb County generally defined by I-75 and I-575 to the west, Cherokee County to the north, the city of Roswell to the east and the Chattahoochee River to the south. With a mostly rural past, East Cobb began a slow and steady path of growth in the late 1950’s, and has developed into a highly sought-after, affluent community of roughly 176,000 residents, making it one of Atlanta’s largest suburbs.
